WCD AP Chairperson and Member Recruitment Notification 2025 for 182 Posts

The Women and Child Development Andhra Pradesh has officially released the WCD AP Chairperson and Member Recruitment 2025 notification for 182 posts across the state. The recruitment is being conducted through the Department of Juvenile Welfare, Correctional Services & Welfare of Street Children, Andhra Pradesh.

As per the notification, eligible candidates can apply online through the official website wdcw.ap.gov.in. The extended last date to submit the online application is 29 December 2025. These appointments are for Child Welfare Committees (CWC) and Juvenile Justice Boards (JJB) in all districts of Andhra Pradesh.

For Child Welfare Committee (CWC) Chairperson & Members

Educational Qualification

• Degree in Child Psychology / Psychiatry / Law / Social Work / Sociology / Health / Education / Human Development / Medicine / Special Education
• Degree must be from a recognized Indian university

Experience

• Minimum 7 years of experience working with children in health, education, or welfare sectors
• Practicing professionals in the above fields are also eligible

Other Conditions

• Must be a resident of Andhra Pradesh
• Clean and unblemished record in child welfare activities

For Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) Social Worker Members

Educational Qualification

• Degree in Child Psychology / Psychiatry / Sociology / Law / Health Sciences / Education

Experience

• Minimum 7 years of experience in child-related welfare or education
• Desirable: 3 years experience with government child welfare programmes

Residency

• Applicant must be a resident of Andhra Pradesh

Candidates must not:

• Have any record of child rights or human rights violation
• Be convicted of offences involving moral turpitude
• Be working in any government office or PSU
• Be associated with child care institutions during tenure
• Hold office in any political party
• Be insolvent or involved in child labour/abuse

👉 Practicing advocates must submit a valid NOC from Bar Association or Legal Authority.

Age Limit (As per Notification)

Candidate should be physically fit and mentally sound.

Salary Details:

• These are not regular government jobs
• Selected candidates will receive honorarium or sitting allowance
• Amount will be fixed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh
