The Rail Coach Factory (RCF), Kapurthala has released an official notification for the engagement of Act Apprentices for the year 2025-26. A total of 550 vacancies are available for candidates who have completed their 10th standard and hold an ITI certificate. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Educational Qualification

    • Matriculation: Candidates must have passed the 10th class examination (under 10+2 system) with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
    • Technical: Must possess a National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the notified trade issued by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT).
    • Note: If 10th marks are in CGPA, candidates must calculate the percentage and fill it in the application form.

    Age Limit (As on 07-01-2026)

      • Minimum Age: 15 years
      • Maximum Age: 24 years

      Age Relaxation

        • SC / ST Candidates: 05 Years
        • OBC Candidates: 03 Years
        • PWD (Persons with Disability): 10 Years
        • Ex-Servicemen: Up to 10 years (based on service rendered + 3 years).

        Other Conditions

          • Candidates must be registered with a local Employment Exchange. (This is mandatory, except for wards of RCF Kapurthala employees).

          SELECTION PROCESS

          The selection for RCF Kapurthala Apprentices is based purely on merit. There is no written exam or interview.

          1. Merit List: A merit list will be prepared by taking the average of the percentage of marks obtained in Matriculation (minimum 50% required) and ITI marks in the relevant trade.
          2. Tie-Breaking Rule: If two candidates have the same marks, the older candidate is preferred. If dates of birth are also same, the one who passed matriculation earlier is preferred.
          3. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called to verify original certificates.
          4. Medical Fitness: Selected candidates must produce a Medical Fitness Certificate from a Government authorized doctor (Gazetted, not below rank of Asst. Surgeon).

          Candidates must pay a non-refundable application fee online.

            • Photograph: Recent color photo (Size: 20kb–70kb, JPG format, clear front view without cap/sunglasses).
            • Signature: Scanned signature (Size: 20kb–30kb, JPG format).
          5. Pay Fee: Pay the Rs. 100 application fee online (if applicable).
          6. Submit: Submit the final application form.
          7. Print: Take a printout of the submitted application form. You will need to show this during Document Verification.
