The NMDC Steel Limited (NSL) has issued an official notification for NMDC Steel Trade Apprentices Recruitment 2026. A total of 100 Trade Apprentice posts will be filled through a walk-in drive.
Eligible ITI pass candidates can attend the walk-in interview scheduled from 12 January 2026 to 15 January 2026. The apprenticeship training will be conducted at NMDC Steel’s Nagarnar Steel Plant, Chhattisgarh. Interested candidates must report on the specified date for their trade at 09:00 AM.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must possess the required ITI Trade Certificate for the respective post:
- COPA: COPA trade, 1-year regular course
- Welder: Welder trade, 1-year regular course
- Fitter: Fitter trade, 2-year regular course
- Electrician: Electrician trade, 2-year regular course
Important Eligibility Note
- Candidates who have already completed apprenticeship training under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 are not eligible.
- Registration on the Apprenticeship India Portal is mandatory before attending the walk-in.
Age Limit:
- Age limit is not specified in the official notification.
- Age eligibility will be governed by Apprenticeship Rules, 1992, wherever applicable.
Stipend Details:
- Selected apprentices will be paid stipend as per DGT (Directorate General of Training) guidelines.
