Indian Navy has released the official recruitment notification for Agniveer (SSR) Batch 01/2027 and Batch 02/2027 under the Agnipath Scheme. Both batches are covered under a single notification, and candidates apply through the Stage I – INET 2026 exam. The online application window opens on 14 March 2026 and closes on 06 April 2026 at joinindiannavy.gov.in.
Both unmarried male and unmarried female candidates who have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics, or hold a relevant Engineering Diploma, or have completed a 2-year Vocational course with the required subjects — all with a minimum of 50% aggregate — are eligible to apply.

Eligibility Criteria:
Three routes qualify a candidate for Agniveer SSR:
Route 1 – Class 12 / 10+2 Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a School Education Board recognised by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, with Physics and Mathematics as subjects and a minimum 50% aggregate marks.
Route 2 – Engineering Diploma Candidates who have passed a 3-year Diploma in Engineering from a Central, State, or UT recognised Polytechnic Institute in any of these branches — Mechanical, Electrical, Automobiles, Computer Science, Instrumentation Technology, or Information Technology — with 50% aggregate marks.
Route 3 – Vocational Course Candidates who have completed a 2-year Vocational Course with Physics and Mathematics as non-vocational subjects from an Education Board recognised by Central, State, or UT, with 50% aggregate marks.
Important: All three routes require a minimum 50% aggregate. Do not apply if you fall short of this — your application will be rejected at the screening stage.

Salary / Stipend Structure:
Indian Navy pays Agniveers a fixed package that increases each year during the 4-year tenure. Apart from in-hand salary, both the Agniveer and the Government of India contribute to the Agniveer Corpus Fund, which the candidate receives at the end of service.

On completion of 4-year service, the candidate receives the full Agniveer Corpus Fund (their contribution + Government’s matching contribution). Agniveers also get risk and hardship allowances, dress allowance, and travel allowance on top of the in-hand salary.

Selection Process
Stage I – INET 2026 (Indian Navy Entrance Test) All candidates first appear for INET 2026, which is an online computer-based test. Performance in INET determines shortlisting for Stage II.
Stage II – Physical Fitness Test (PFT) Shortlisted candidates report for a Physical Fitness Test. They must meet the physical standards prescribed by the Indian Navy.
Stage II – Written Examination A written test is conducted at Stage II as part of the combined Stage II process.
Stage II – Recruitment Medical Examination Candidates undergo a medical examination to confirm fitness as per Indian Navy medical standards.
Provisional Select List Based on performance across all stages and merit, Indian Navy publishes a Provisional Select List for each batch. Final induction happens at INS Chilka, Odisha.
How to Apply Online for Indian Navy Agniveer SSR 2026
Step 1 – Go to the official website joinindiannavy.gov.in
Step 2 – Click on the “Agniveer SSR 01/2027 & 02/2027 – Apply Online” link.
Step 3 – Download and read the official notification PDF in full. Confirm your eligibility on date of birth, qualification, and percentage before proceeding.
Step 4 – Register on the portal using your valid email ID and mobile number.
Step 5 – Fill in all personal, educational, and contact details in the application form accurately. Do not leave any field blank.
Step 6 – Upload your photograph, signature, and required documents in the format and size mentioned in the notification.
Step 7 – Pay the application fee of Rs. 550/- + 18% GST online.
Step 8 – Review the entire form before final submission. Use the Correction Window (10–11 April 2026) to fix errors — no corrections after that.
Step 9 – Submit and save or print the Application Reference Number and payment receipt.
Note: Candidates can use the correction window only between 10 and 11 April 2026. No changes are permitted after this window closes.
