Eligibility Criteria
To apply for these roles, you must meet specific educational requirements. Since Adarsha Vidyalayas are CBSE-affiliated English medium schools, proficiency in teaching in English is mandatory for all teaching posts.
1. Post Graduate Teacher (PGT)
- Education: Master’s Degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks.
- Professional: B.Ed. degree from a recognized institution.
2. Graduate Teacher (Arts, Science, Hindi, Math)
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree (Arts or Science) with at least 55% marks in the major subject.
- Professional: B.Ed. degree is mandatory.
- Note for Hindi Teachers: You need specific qualifications like Pravin/Ratna in Hindi with 55% marks plus a degree.
3. Assistant Teacher (Arts & Science)
- Education: Graduate in Arts or Science with minimum 55% marks.
- Professional: Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.).
4. Laboratory Assistant
- Education: Passed Higher Secondary (12th Grade) in the Science stream with at least 55% marks.
Important Note on Degrees: Degrees from off-campus study centers not recognized by UGC/DEC will not be accepted. However, degrees from IGNOU, IDOL (Gauhati University), and KKHSOU are valid.

Application Fees

Selection Process
The selection isn’t based on a written exam alone. It follows a merit-based system:
- Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted based on their academic marks (Degree, HS, B.Ed/D.El.Ed marks).
- Teaching Proficiency Test (TPT): Shortlisted candidates will be called for a proficiency test. This will assess your subject knowledge, teaching skills, class demonstration, and overall personality.
- Document Verification: Finally, your original documents will be verified.
Important: The job is purely contractual for a period of 11 months initially. However, it may be extended based on your performance.
