ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Candidates must satisfy both the educational qualifications and age limits as specified for each post.
Educational Qualification:
- Block Epidemiologist: M.Sc. in Life Science/Epidemiology OR BAMS/BHMS/BUMS with MPH. Must have proficiency in advanced MS Office.
- Block Public Health Manager: B.Sc. in Life Science with a Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Management. Must have proficiency in advanced MS Office.
- Laboratory Technician: Passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics/Biological Science AND a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT/DLT) from a recognized institute.
- Block Data Manager: Graduate from a recognized university AND completed at least a 1-year Diploma course in Computer Application from a Govt. registered institution. Must have working knowledge of computer applications (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and Internet.
- Medical Officer General Duty: MBBS from an MCI recognized institute with a 1-year compulsory Internship. Must be registered under the West Bengal Medical Council.
- Staff Nurse: Completed Staff Training Course from an Indian Nursing Council / W.B. Nursing Council recognized institute OR completed B.Sc. Nursing Course. Must be registered under the W.B. Nursing Council and proficient in the local language (Bengali).
- Counsellor: Graduation in Social Science from a recognized institution. Must have two years of working experience in the Health or Social Sector. Fluency in the local language is essential.
Age Limit (as on 1st January 2025):
- Medical Officer General Duty: Upper age limit is 67 years.
- Staff Nurse, Counsellor: Upper age limit is 40 years.
- Block Epidemiologist, Block Public Health Manager, Block Data Manager: Minimum 21 years and Maximum 40 years.
- Laboratory Technician: Minimum 19 years and Maximum 40 years.
Age Relaxation:
- Age relaxation for candidates belonging to Reserved Categories (SC, ST, OBC) will be applicable as per the existing norms of the State Government of West Bengal.
Other Mandatory Conditions:
- The applicant must be a Permanent Resident of West Bengal.
- The applicant must have knowledge of the local language (Bengali), meaning they should be able to read, write, and speak in Bengali.
SELECTION PROCESS:
The selection process will be based on a mix of academic performance, tests, and interview:
- Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on their scores/marks in academic qualifications (Essential and Desirable criteria).
- Computer Test / Written Test: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a Computer Test and/or a Written Test (as applicable for the post).
- Interview (Viva-voce): Candidates who qualify the Computer Test (where applicable) will be called for an Interview.
- Final Merit List: Selection will be made based on the marks obtained in Academic Qualification, Written Test, Computer Test, Experience (where applicable), and Interview.
- Important Note: Experience will only be calculated after obtaining the required academic qualification. Scores will be calculated up to two decimal points, and no rounding off will be done. Skipping any stage of recruitment will lead to disqualification.
