To apply for UPSSSC AGTA 2026, you need two things — both are mandatory:

Only those candidates who have appeared for the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2025 and have been issued a scorecard by the Commission are eligible to apply for this recruitment.If you appeared in PET 2024 or earlier but not PET 2025, you cannot apply.

You must have a graduation degree in any of the following:

  • B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture
  • B.Sc. Horticulture
  • B.Sc. Forestry
  • B.Sc. Agricultural Engineering
  • 4-year B.Sc. in Community Science / Home Science from an Agricultural University

All degrees must be from a recognized university in India.

Candidates who have served in the Territorial Army for at least two years, or who hold an NCC ‘B’ Certificate, will be given preference during selection. This does not make you ineligible without it — it is just a preference.

  1. Shortlisting based on PET 2025 Score — candidates are shortlisted for the main exam based on their PET performance
  2. Written Examination (Main Exam) — objective type, held offline
  3. Document Verification — for shortlisted candidates
  4. Medical Examination — as per UPSSSC norms

There is no interview in this recruitment.

Exam Pattern and Syllabus

The written examination consists of objective-type multiple-choice questions. The exam is held for a total of 100 questions, with 1 mark for each correct answer. There is negative marking — 0.25 marks (1/4th) will be deducted for each wrong answer.

  2. If you have not done One-Time Registration (OTR) yet, complete it first with your basic details — name, date of birth, mobile number, and email ID
  3. Log in to your registered account using your credentials
  4. Find the link for “Agriculture Technical Assistant Group-C — Advt. No. 06-Exam/2026” on the homepage or recruitment section
  5. Click on “Apply Online” and fill in the application form carefully
  6. Enter your PET 2025 Roll Number / Registration details — this will be verified
  7. Fill in your personal details, address, educational qualifications, and upload a recent passport-size photograph and signature in the prescribed format
  8. Select your preferred exam district / centre
  9. Pay the application fee of ₹25 through online payment mode
  10. Review the entire form before submitting — once submitted, details cannot be changed before the correction window
